The deepest, strongest and most earth shaking characteristics of CRAZY LOVE can easily be seen but rarely grasped and never fully understood or appreciated by any of us in human form. The Greatest and most compelling element that draws me to CRAZY LOVE is its very existence and the more I see of it the greater its mystery draws me to a Peace, Hope and Life that I never dreamed existed.
“When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath, and so the Jewish leaders said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat.” – John 5:6-10
There are several nuggets here to take away and breathe in like the first Rose of spring:
1)Jesus was and is full of compassion – being like Christ is not judging others, it’s having compassion for them.
2)Jesus doesn’t look at what is, He looks instead at what will be with Faith.
3)Jesus doesn’t call all to be physically healed, but He does call all to Rest in what is and not what “should” be.
4)Jesus Never once let law get in the way of CRAZY LOVE! “Christ is the end of the law for All who believe” because All righteousness is from Faith.
Jesus was not then or now interested in traditions, laws or anything else that put a gap between you and God and that was for a very simple and healing reason –
Believing in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is All that is necessary to bridge that gap. Once you believe or “follow Christ” life is all about three simple words, “Love one another.”
The greater I grow in accepting the truth and reality of the above statement the Better my life becomes Here and Now and forever!
