A man who looks for fault or blame will often spend his whole life looking at the past or current situation in utter hopelessness. But a person who embraces each moment as a blessing REGARDLESS of the situation will be able to see God and His handiwork in the worst nightmare, the deepest pit and the most hellish of disappointments!

Do you blame or embrace?

Is it possible that much of the pain in the world is caused by the individual who suffers?

Could it be that a great deal of the Love of God is based around not hurting yourself?

Jesus had just finished essentially begging God, “if it is possible, may this cup (the crucifixion) be taken from me.” He knew what was coming and He knew the trigger man Judas and in fact earlier had sent him out to finish getting ready to betray Him. Jesus had to be feeling weak and all kinds of emotional pain, my guess is a fear that very few men ever know. The emotions and the stomach and the nerves must have been beyond belief.

But catch what He said next,

My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”

Is that one amazing statement and a total embrace of what is and will be or what?

Could I do that? Could you?

For years I blamed God for so many things in my life and guess what – as long as I did blame Him, His Love and His miracles that happen each and every second of my life COULD NOT  be seen by me. The most amazing thing to me is that Jesus kept embracing the situation painful moment by painful moment even to the point of actually encouraging His betrayer by saying,

Friend, do what you came for.”

Care for another amazing moment. Jesus teaches us to NOT fight the situation once we have realeased it to God. Pray and embrace is exactly what He did even taking time to heal one of the mob by putting the mans ear back on.

Put your sword back in its place. For all who draw a sword will die by the sword. Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and He will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? But how then would the scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?” – Matthew 26:57-54

Perhaps once you leave it in His hands you shouldn’t fight it as that is taking it out of His hands again. Perhaps the greatest change in any given circumstance will be in your heart and that is why you are exactly where you are and God knew that place before you did. Perhaps by blaming God or someone or something for whatever we cause ourselves to get stuck.

Does this negate free will?

I am on a journey and on that journey someone who has been down this road before me and knows the road is my Guide. In fact the Guide created the road. The great thing about this journey is no matter what I do on this journey He teaches me through it. I can never fall out of the safety net of the Guide because He is actually inside me.

Embrace where you are because He put you there at this exact moment for a reason.

Don’t worry-Be Grace-Full!!
