The man grew increasingly frustrated because his car could not play checkers!
This is how most Christians grow frustrated with the Christian life – they are trying to make it about something it’s Not! BIG GOD changes Everything because BIG GOD Is THE GOD of THE CROSS!
“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” – Ephesians 4:1-2
The cross of Christ made you perfect in the sight of the Only One that matters – GOD – BIG GOD! There is no more law – Grow in Love! And even the growth of Love is a Divine intervention of Biblical proportions.
The trouble is that most Christians are still looking to law obedience instead of Love Growth as the measuring stick for righteousness – Righteousness that is 100% “By Grace through Faith” Rest 100% on Christ Alone!
What happens when we more law instead of Love Growth?
1)We ignore the hurting or give only superficial help some going so far as to tell others that their problems were brought about by “sin” – so now other see God as the punisher instead of The Lover!
2)We miss The Gift Beyond Compare for the law that brings death and condemnation – “The power of sin is the law” – Christ came to give life Abundant! Most Christians are plugged into the wrong power source!
3)We grow ego on “good days” and depression on “bad days” making the Christian life an emotional yo-yo! If we understand Who He Is, What He Completed and Where He now lives – all yo-yos are gone!
4)We worship the law and Not The God – this is because our heart is on following the law better – but “the law never made anyone righteous, not even one” – to include Jesus! Faith Alone Is Righteousness!
5)We cut ourselves off from others – others who aren’t “as good” as we are even though we say we don’t there is an underlying current of separation between anyone who doesn’t think like us!
6)We cut ourselves off from All BIG GOD has to offer as we see Him as the cosmic customs agent or god policeman instead of seeing that “His Grace Is Sufficient” and “Jesus paid it ALL” which magnifies His Great Love for us!
7)We have to manufacture the Joy of the Lord based on emotionalism or what we had for breakfast Sunday morning and true Gratitude is nonexistent as are all the other “fruits of The Spirit.”
These are just a few of the problems that happen when we think that Ephesians 4:1 means follow the law better instead of what Verse 2 states – learn Love from The God Who Is Love!
