To say that a Promise made by God is not All that It Is, is to create the life of ongoing frustration and misery that most of humanity including the religious hordes face, experience and exist in the dim flicker of emotionally charged survival! There IS a better way – The Way – The Promise!
“Tell me, you who want to be under the law, are you not aware of what the law says? For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman. His son by the slave woman was born according to the flesh, but his son by the free woman was born as the result of A DIVINE PROMISE. These things are being taken figuratively: The women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar. Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.” – Galatians 4:21-26
The difficulty for most Christians when it comes to Grace is the comfort of Hagar’s tit and the breast milk the law provides. The reason this is a Huge problem is simple – His Grace is sufficient and Any dependence on the law is Not total dependence on Christ!
The city of Jerusalem of that day like today was and is under the control of a legalistic based religion. The vast majority of Christianity is under a form of righteousness that is half law and half Grace and all misery because they don’t understand the size of God, the ability of His Power, the capacity of His Love or the Completeness of the cross of Jesus Christ!
When God makes a Promise He delivers – but most who claim His Sons name never claim The Promise!
The Promise was made through the prophets. Through the struggles seen in the Old Testament and through the ongoing challenge of and inability to keep the law, we see the dire need for The Promise. This is why The Promise meant and means Healing!
The Healing came through The Healer of All souls and The One Who set Free the captives from the heavy burden they could Never fulfill – HE, Jesus, Prince of Peace and Lord of Lords IS The Truth that sets you Free! He, Jesus, Emanuel, God Is with us IS Now and Forevermore With us and Never separated from us again! HE, Jesus, Wonderful, Mighty God Has Healed you completely IF you will just believe, Now you can Be who you are without hiding in what you are not and celebrate the way He made you to Be without any “self-improvement program”, legalistic, ritualistic, behavior modification program!
At the moment, the Very nanosecond you Believe this All things become New and Radical Abundant Life begins!
