Once man figured out that square wheels didn’t work well – the rest was easy. The only challenge is many still use square wheels! This same logic in the spiritual world applies to God, all that He Is and all that the cross of Christ provides Freely!
“But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.” – Acts 5:39
The greater ability I see God as having, the greater my Rest and Peace Here and Now!
ALL my “consequences”, ALL my “judgments”, ALL my pain and shame and guilt and hurt and ALL my “bad” things were nailed on the cross! While most say that they believe this or something similar – their conversations and actions betray them which proliferates pain.
Let me give you an example. A young man and woman have sex outside of marriage and the woman get pregnant – consequences or Gift from God?
As long as we see that precious baby as a “consequence” that child will feel guilt and shame and be essentially shame based their whole life.
The END of ALL suffering is to see the ABILITY of GOD in ALL things!
This could be the traffic jam you are in, your handicap that you deal with, the ongoing pain you face from an illness or yes even the results of “sin” or perceived “sin.” Every single moment, event and person is from Above – the greater you allow this door to open in your mind the greater you will be at Peace Here and Now! Jesus Christ, Gods Only Son lives inside you and With Him inside you even your biggest “mistake” was known about, planned and orchestrated by God for His Glory – REST in Him!
Here is a simple meditation I like to practice to bring me back to this Grace-Full reality:
Find a time and place where you probably won’t be disturbed and just close your eyes and:
Breathe in and say:
“God ALL-Mighty”
Breathe out and say:
“Controls ALL things”
Practice this for several days and then from time to time as a reminder.
