Who did Jesus die for?
Does He care what country you are from or the type of government you have?
“But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” – Roman 3:22-24
Where does God’s righteousness come from now?
Who has sinned?
Who is justified?
By what means are they justified?
It’s amazing to me how many people think that Jesus ate apple pie, played football in high school and celebrated the 4th of July!
Sin is not reserved for one group and waving a flag will no more get you into heaven than will cramming a Bible down someone’s throat.
Everyone is a sinner and everyone needs Grace- “apart from law” in order to be justified. It doesn’t matter where you were born or grew up the Love of God applies to All people equally.
I am pretty sure that, “all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus” means “all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”
This is the righteousness that is given freely by His sacrifice to ALL who believe in faith. His gift and His Great Love for US means not just White Anglo Saxon Protestants but ALL who believe regardless of political nonsense or passport!
The cult of the WASP says you have to be like me culturally, morally and socially. If you were not born in the USA you don’t have a snowballs chance of making it.
God says simply three little words to EVERYBODY!
“I LOVE YOU!!!”
We both solidly agree that in faith in Jesus Christ who died for our justification and was resurrected in victory we are saved, Rom.10-9&10. Do you feel that if a person looses their faith through sin that they can again be lost? Hebrews 3:12-14, 6:4-8 Blessings, Ken<
Aloha Ken,
Great to hear from you. Sorry I havent gotten back to you on your email. I see in Galatians that the people for whom “there is no longer a sacrafice” are the ones that went back to the law for some form of righteousness.
The single boggest difficulty I see that people have after they come into accepting Christ is that they still think the law which was their tutor and brought them to Christ, somehow still has a hold over them. This is a growing up in Grace to be able to accept differences and as the babe in Christ grows and learns more truth they become more free.
Christ clearly said ” all who believe in me”. That does not specify skin color, nation of birth or even (gasp) what your parents believed. It means, simply, who ever believes in me. Enough said. Thanks Ken for being clear.
Amen! and Thank you sister Linda! The point of this Bible study is that His Grace makes it abundantly clear we are no longer under the law and that is the Only way we can have His Peace and Love flowing through us.
excellent. if olny all the preachers would say this
Thank you brother! Maybe someday!
I like your emphasis on the passage: ALL are justified! When I was a fundamentalist and later an evangelical, both groups used the the phrase heavily, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” But they never shared the second part, “And all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” I am not sure they even knew it was there!
Amen Brother! I was raised very fundamental and two couseling centers and PTSD later twas Grace that set me free!
The problem as I see it is that many people put Jesus on a cardboard cross! He either paid in full and paid it all or we are all pretty well in big trouble!
Thank you for sharing.
