The Blessing of the broken!
“A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.” – Luke 7:37-38
You will never be able to have acceptance for yourself and therefore Love yourself and therefore Love your neighbor as yourself as long as you don’t get one simple concept:
It’s not about the law – it’s about Him!
The guilt and shame that she felt from her “sinful life” were radically changed when she met the one that would end the reason for the condemnation she felt from the law!
This realization still brings a grateful stream of tears rolling down my face at times as I grow in the realization of His gift and just how amazingly perfect it is.
This is not just knowledge of salvation in the sweet by and by. This isn’t some ok I am good to go now and my future is secure. This is a knowledge and indeed an understanding that His perfect gift goes even deeper into the soul and very core of our being and we don’t deserve it at all.
I have often heard it said that you can’t take someone to a point where you haven’t been. For the most part I believe this is true and as such I wonder about people who are very religious and what point they as taking people to.
This woman was not having a religious experience as many of the people would have felt more comfortable with- she was having a spiritual experience of understanding the gift that Christ was, is and will always Be and what that meant to her being.
This wasn’t some rehearsed, contrived or ceremonial pomp and circumstance this was a human being grasping the very essence of the cleansing and forgiving power of the Grace of God!
She saw how much He Loved her and the tremendous gift that He offered freely to All who would believe not based on her works, for if based on works she should have taken the expensive perfume sold it and given the money to the poor- No it was, is and always will be a Free gift of Grace because of His Great Love for us!
This woman accepted who she was so she could accept who He was and be given the greatest gift ever given to anyone- Grace – through His Love for us and a Freedom that she could never have to Love herself and others in a whole new way!

You just keep doing it. Showing the deep love that God has for each individual person, and the overwhelming response of love and thankfulness that is generated. These encounters with Jesus are so deeply moving. I see that you are someone that has been there and is eternally thankful for the wonderful grace and love of Christ.
I really appreciate these studies that you write and put out to the public in the hope that His grace may be known around the world. Not only known but experienced. I pray that many others will be blessed with His love and grace, as I have been. This, because of your willingness to let God do His work through you and your writing and your sharing. I believe that God used you to help me find the real grace of God and I will always be thankful for that. It is a once in a lifetime gift. And you, a complete stranger to me. How amazing is that!
I look forward to each and every study that you put out, as they are so informative and inspiring and helpful in my own personal studies. Keep on teaching and sharing so that the Light of His Love may continue to radiate into the lives of as many people as possible. I know that i have said some of these things before, but I felt the need to say them again.
Continue to also pray that I will continue to grow in faith and His love, and that His love will flow through me abundantly to my family and loved ones. Love and blessings.
You bless me so very much! When I think of you I think God has blessed me with an Angel of encouragement and He knows that I so need it each and every moment! Some thousand years in eternity I hope we sit down and talk all about the way God has used you to keep me going. Becuase of the encouragement and strength you have shared with me and with others God’s word has been shared to many more. God has used you in my life and in the life of this blog and His Grace beign proclaimed to people that you may never meet or know or that will never even know your name on this side of eternity- but that is the beauty of God’s garden!
God’s garden which we now plant is planted with seeds of Love and forgiveness, grown in a soil of Grace and watered with His blood- Not one drop of His Garden is done by man- Its all done by His tender Love, Peace and Forgiveness! To produce a harvest of Love from people who have been Forgiven and as a result have a Peace that passes All understanding because His Grace is radically sufficient for each and every one of those from His garden! You my dear lady are such a nurturer and you have helped so many sense the Love that He has for them!
Thank you so very much! You have so richly blessed me and helped His word grow in me and others! God has so blessed me through you and I will find you up there to say this again- but Thank you! It is so easy especially with what we are trying to do more of over here to feel all alone and isolated but you have opened the doors of enthusiasm to me and as a result to so many more! You are my sister and I am so very blessed because of it!
