Are there zombies among us?
How do you spot the zombies?
Please read Acts 15: 10-11
Vs. 10 “Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear? No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”
Why is it that Christianity almost didn’t come to you and me?
One word- Law! This passage above was a group of people meeting in the early days of the church to decide if dirty gentiles like you and me would have to follow Jewish customs in order to come to Jesus.
There is a yoke that no one in history has been able to bear- trust me you cant bear it either. Many today have become zombies and don’t even know that they are doing this but you can see it in the things they say.
“Oh I am struggling with that sin.” Really- why, you are no longer under the law which is the “power of sin” 1 Corinthians 15:56.
“Well that is just my cross to bear, I can’t overcome this sin.” Really- So you are more knowledgeable than God? 1 John 3:20-21.
“Well I am not perfect just forgiven” Really- So Jesus wasn’t enough sacrifice for you- 1 John 4: 18, Hebrews 10:1-10, Hebrews 10:18
There is a yoke that is easy and a burden that is light- Matthew 11: 29-30. This yoke is not based on some ritualistic doing but rather a Grateful and Grace-Full understanding of The Love from Above that is beyond any kind of Love we could ever hope to produce here.
Don’t be a zombie- Be Grace-Full!!
