Could it be that the wisdom that we have and the knowledge that we have at this moment is exactly the amount that God wants us to have?

Could this be true for others as well?

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” – 2 Peter 3:8-9

Could it be that rushing Love or rushing God is one way to miss the moment that is right here and now that God wants you to have and learn from?

Could it be that one of satans greatest tricks is to cause us to travel or move so fast that everything around us is a blur so we miss the blessing of now?

How many times have you heard “they grow up so fast” or “you can’t stop time” and felt like things were passing you by at light speed?

“Love is patient” and in these three words I find a PhD worth of lessons. God takes His time and He has a work to do in you and in me and that work is a wonderful thing. It’s not a work of making us follow some set of regulations. It’s a work of creating a more loving and understanding heart.

Have you ever seen a bitter old man and thought “wow I hope I am not like that guy when I get old?” I have and I used to work around a bunch just like that. Well here is the answer to not be that way- Stay open to love and to the lessons of this present moment. I am not saying this is an easy lesson as I have to learn it over and over again it seems but one trick here is to never assume any idea is 100% correct except this idea- Love God and Love others!

God has all the time in eternity and He is not in a hurry to create the heart in you and me that He wants to as long as we are open to the lesson of now.

Here is a meditation for you: (Sit quietly in a place and at a time where you won’t be disturbed close your eyes and take a couple of deep breath in and out before you begin.)

Breathe in:

Love is patient

Breathe out:

Love never fails

As you practice this think of sitting with Jesus and just listen to what He has to say.

Don’t worry- Be Grace-Full!!

Slow down on Love
