Is something stealing from you?
Is there a killer in your house?
Are you being destroyed?
Please read John 10:10-11
Vs. 10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”
I have been robbed and I have robbed! I have had much killed and killed much! I have had much destroyed and destroyed much!
For this I am sorry and in part for this I write. Not out of penance but out of Love and a concern for those in the pain that on some days I see so very close except for His amazing shield.
Christ doesn’t need our penance, we do! We need to see that which is hurting us and killing love and hope between us and others. The roots of bitterness and the roots of pain can run very deep indeed and for me those roots caused weeds between my family and I. Those weeds also caused strife between an amazing lady who I am at times in utter amazement that she still loves me.
There isn’t much time my friend and with every tick of the clock a moment that could bring joy passes by. I am not talking about a legalistic God with thunderbolts ready to bounce on you. I am talking about the world’s greatest hugger ready to embrace you and Love you just the way you are!
I know many of you have seen an angry God- His anger was taken out on the good shepherd on the cross. Many of you have seen or heard of God as policeman- but Jesus came not to condemn but to save.
God Is Love and God Loves You– that is the simple message Jesus came to share.
If you have the courage here is a meditation for you. Find a time and a place where you probably won’t be disturbed and begin to take some deep breaths. As you do with every exhale release your stress and relax a bit more. Focus on relaxing and your breath and as you do:
Breathe in and say:
“God reveal Yourself”
Breathe out and say:
“To me”
Practice this until you can release any idea or thought of God and let Him open your eyes to what He wants you to see.
