“If I only had…..”
“If I was…..”
“Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belts— no bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff, for the worker is worth his keep.” – Matthew 10:9-10
Both of the above statements are Grace killers like the word “should.” When you catch yourself saying them you can bet that there is some area where God wants you to depend more on Him and less on anything else.
The more we wish things were different or think things “should” be different the less we have our heart available for the Here and Now to share His Love and to rest in the fact that He knows what He is doing!
Think about this – you are in a relationship with God Almighty not based on your effort or doing- it is a Free gift- and you are saying “God you should have made things different!
This is the point of trust that can grow you in ways unimaginable! REST in the idea that this exact moment in time is exactly where He wants you and has you for the reason He may or may not let you know right now!
This rest allows you to Be the Love that He needs for others around you and share a Peace with them that passes All understanding- this is the Love of God! Sharing God’s Love is not about who can get the most members or win the most bonus points by their own effort!
Being God’s Love is about Loving All without judgment, condemnation or the thought or idea that things “should” be different because He IS in control and He has you right Here and Now!
