Was there anything that really ticked of Jesus?
What made Jesus angry?
Is there a lesson there?
Please read Mark 3:1-6
Vs. 5 “He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.”
The idea of “be angry and sin not” was always a bit odd to me when I was under the law. I could never really get my head wrapped around the idea of where the anger was to be directed.
Should I press for political change and be angry with politicians that don’t support the views of the Bible?
But then I never saw Jesus calling for political change.
Should I be angry at people who would slander the church or cut back on religious freedoms?
But then I never saw Christ respond with anger when the people slandered Him and crucified Him.
Isn’t He our prime example of what is right. I mean the term Christian does mean literally “little Christ.”
So what did make Jesus angry?
Vs.4 “The Jesus asked them, ‘Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?”
Which is better to paint on a fake happy righteous face and go to a building with people who obey a fake set of righteous requirements and act righteous OR heal a man and show compassion and Love to a man that had a shriveled hand?
Yes Jesus got angry and in this case like others his target of that anger were the religious leaders and the people who were the “teachers of the law.”
Why?
Could it that Love had come and Love ruled the day and when going to a building and painting on a happy face and acting a certain way takes the place of Love and healing a person because of the law, well which one do you think He would pick?
One made Him angry the other was the way He lived. He didn’t care if it was Sabbath his disciples and others needed to eat. He didn’t care if it was Sabbath if He could heal someone and make their life and body complete He would do it.
The result of this Sabbath day mentioned in this passage was one man was made complete and because of that the self-righteous began to plot how they could kill Jesus.
Why did Jesus come?
To me He came to die for you and me and to show Love in the process as the ONLY path to righteousness. I would say that made this Sabbath day a pretty big win for Jesus!

Should the same mind that was in Christ be in you?
Christ was angry at hypocrisy, injustice,
unrighteousness, and with sin!! It’s O.K>
for us to hate what HE hated!! HE
hated fakes and phonys who called
themselves righteous!!
Thanks for sharing your opinion Martin.
Can you point out one verse where Jesus came down on and made a person feel bad because of “sin” –
Yes I agree with your bit about fakes and guess what the fakes were the ones trying to “obey the law for some form of righteousness.”
Jesus broke Sabbath, drank wine and made friends with the “most sinful” people of HIs day – its in the Bible!
Praying for you on your journey.
