If we are going to “Move with Love” as discussed in “Move with Love – 1” and throughout this series, the starting point and a huge area in need of growth for me is Compassion. To see the pain of the other, to sense even through the mask of false bravado and human arrogance that there is a deep wound in need of healing – This, YES THIS IS TO WALK LIKE CHRIST!

As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out—the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, “Don’t cry.” – Luke 7:12-13

It was not until I knew that God Almighty was The One holding me through my darkest Hell that I longed for my Heavenly home!
Ya wanna hear a funny story? A Buddhist taught me to see God doing this! I never learned this from the legalist because it wasn’t in the Christian religious lexicon of things to say.

Dont get me wrong – my simple point here is this, show Compassion, help people heal, listen to the hurting and struggling – without trying to convert them to your group of people and way of thinking – just LOVE  LIKE  JESUS!

The Compassion of Christ:

1)He had it for His enemies like Judas as well as for His favorites!

2)He wasn’t on a membership drive, He never Loved to get some back!

3)He saw the need Not the deed – He never looked at what the person had done, only at the Love they Desperatly needed!

If we show this type of Compassion, Compassion from the heart of Grace – people will long to be near us, see what is in us and LOVE other like us!

Move with Compassion!
