Are you tired yet?

What if there was one that was lighter and FREE?

Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear? 11No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.” – Acts 15:10-11

So there they were a whole bunch of Jewish people trying to decide if the greatest Free gift of all time should be passed to the rest of humanity namely you and me. Keep in mind that these are people who for generations followed a law that no one could keep then or now.

Some wanted that same yoke or heavy burden around your neck- but there was a problem. That yoke, that heavy burden that no one could follow- that wasn’t Jesus!

Paul know it as did many of the others who were there but what about here and now and you and me?

Nor will I nor will anyone- THAT IS JESUS!!

The more law you are under the more guilt and shame you will experience in your life. The more you understand and accept grace the more grateful, loving and caring you become.

You choose your yoke and that causes the outcome- yes it really is that simple!

Make this your daily prayer and meditation for the next few days. At first you may need to find a time and a place where you won’t be disturbed but as well as a sit down formal meditation make this a prayerful thought that goes through your head many times over the next days and weeks as it’s called to mind.

Breathe in and say:

Breathe out and say:

I belong to You

His yoke is easy and His burden is light- You are always in my thoughts, prayers and meditations for your journey.

Don’t Worry- Be Grace-Full!!

Only by Grace = not by works!

God better not take my yoke!

    I love my egg yokes!

    Or is that “yolks?”

    Never mind…

    lol (Kidding)

    Peace 🙂

  2. I got tired of my yoke and gave it to the Lord. Sometimes, the problem is not that we do not want to be relieved of our yokes; the devil as well as some christians may make one feel that Jesus is not interested in carrying them! The irony is that he died carrying our sins so, what could be heavier.

Great point about He died carrying our sins!
You know the power of sin IS the law! When Paul said “you are no longer under the law, you are under Grace” – he was stating that our yoke is no longer concerned with the law – the easy yoke of Christ IS that the law is no longer our master! Once people open up to that – Life, True Abundant Life begins!
