777 Challenge – Day 6 – Question 6

Jesus was perfect! That is a basic principle of Christianity, one of the foundational cornerstones that the religion, I believe has right. But this is where the religion and Grace are night and day if you consider this – Jesus broke the law! On at least four different laws I can point to Jesus broke the law! He broke Sabbath twice that we know of, He disobeyed His parents at least once that we know of, He was considered a “drunkard” by some and in addition to that He broke the law by associating with “sinners!” While some and in fact most Christians will try to shimmy around this fact by slick justifications, Grace says, “Bring it, it doesn’t rock my world, Trust or Faith!

So how can I say that Jesus was perfect? Simply put He had Faith in God and while that Faith had some crisis moments He kept Trust in God even unto His own brutal death on the cross!

In order to Be Fully under Grace you need to see the limited nature of the law and Limitless God Who seeks to Love you like you have never known!

WHAT ARE THE LIMITATIONS OF THE LAW?

Galatians 2:16,21- “…man is not justified by the works of the law…by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. …if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died needlessly.”

Galatians 3:11,12,21- “…no one is justified by the law before God…the law is not faith,…if a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law.”

Hebrews 7:19- “…(for the law made nothing perfect)”

Hebrews 10:1- “For the law, …can never…make perfect those who draw near.”

1 Corinthians 15:56- the power of sin is the law.”

Please keep two things in mind here –

1)The first question was, “What is the purpose of the law?” 777 Challenge – Day 1 – Question 1if you are unsure of things at this point, god back to day 1 and stick to the scripture.

2)To Be “Holy as Christ is Holy” is not about obedience to the law – it’s about Faith in The Unlimited God Who made you Holy through the blood of Jesus! This creates the Attitude of Gratitude that creates True Worship, True Praise, True Peace and a growing understanding of a Love that knows No boundaries!
